Jordan Payne, EDO, CDO

Owner, Osteopath & Electro-Equiscope Technician

Growing up with horses, Jordan has been competitively riding, training, and practicing equine bodywork for many years. She has ridden and trained in a variety of disciplines. Most of her training was in colt starting and performance horses, specifically barrel horses. She still currently competes as a WPRA barrel racer and enjoys the rodeo lifestyle.

Equine bodywork is a long time passion of Jordan’s. She jockeyed barrel horses for an equine body worker who was her mentor, giving her the start in bodywork a over decade ago. She went to massage school to widen her services as an equine therapist. She completed her certification as a CESMT at the NE Indiana Equine Sports Massage & Rehab school.

After working on horses, and constantly seeing the same reoccurring issues, she wanted to understand why these things were happening. She kept asking herself “What am I missing?” She wanted to better understand biomechanics of the whole horse. After meeting Dr. Jackie Inscho, DVM and becoming introduced to Osteopathy and the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy and Education, Jordan realized Osteopathy was the answer and the journey her life needed to take.

Jordan is a registered Equine Osteopath (EDO), she completed her 4 years of study at the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy and Education in Garwood, Texas. She is certified in equine osteopathy, and canine osteopathy. Her passion for critters and travel has lead her on quite the journey. For the past several years she has been traveling the country to practice her passion, literally from coast-to-coast. She practices most from her current home base in Conrad, Montana.

Alyson Hart

Osteopathy Student, Massage Therapist

With over 10 years of experience competitively riding, training, and caring for horses, Aly admits her love for all things equine related. Aly started at a young age with a pony, named Pokey, and a dream to one day become a barrel racer. She received riding lessons from Jordan and quickly made her dream a reality. Aly learned everything from the basics of riding and caring for a horse, to barrel racing and rodeoing with Jordan. Realizing where her true passion lies, Aly enrolled in the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy and Education and is currenlty a student. Aly practices equine bodywork, including Equine Myo-manipulative Functional Therapy (Massage), Kinesiology Taping, Craniosacral Therapy, and Animal Neuro-myofascial Release Technique (body alignment technique). As well as osteopathy techniques as she progresses through school. She primarily practices out of her home in Blythewood, SC but is also currently making trips to along the east coast and midwest. She is currently a key therapist for Payne-less to help horses as schooling permits between full osteopathic sessions with Jordan Payne.

Janelle Van De Riet

Assistant/ Scheduler for Payne-less Solutions

Veterinary Technician for South Peak Veterinary Services

Janelle Van De Riet was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana. She always had a love of animals and spent every minute she could out at her family’s ranch. After graduating high school, she got her first job working as a veterinary technician in Helena, MT. She started her vet tech career working only on small animals before she found her love of large animal medicine.

Janelle worked in mixed animal veterinary clinics throughout Montana until she moved to Greeley, Colorado to work at Countryside Large Animal. There she found her true passion in working on the top performance horses. While at Countryside she got to experience not only working on the top equine athletes, but also bovine medicine and equine sports medicine and surgery. They also fostered her secret love of pigs.

After a few years, Janelle decided to move home to Montana to be near her family. She brought back all of her knowledge and experience to help make Montana’s equine athletes perform their best. She is working through the Veterinary Technician program with Penn Foster, hoping to earn her associates degree in Applied Animal Science and finally have a degree to stand behind her 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Janelle enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping with her family.

Veterinarian Partnerships.

We work with multiple Veterinarians to ensure a WHOLE horse approach. One practice cannot replace the other, if you want to achieve optimal performance and healing you need both. Complementary treatment can greatly enhance the osteopathic session and is sometimes absolutely necessary. Veterinary procedures such as radiographs, dental work, lameness exams and injections can be beneficial to the Equine Osteopath. The most common collaborative treatment is pelvic room mobilization. This helps to evaluate the osteopathic mobility and vitality of the ovaries, kidneys, spleen, bladder, restrictions at the inguinal ring (gelding scars), and more. As well as rule out any pathologies.

In today’s performance world every inch of stride length, soft and quick response and overall happiness of your horse matters. If you aren’t analyzing the whole horse, it could be what is keeping you from the winner’s circle. Contact us for details for us to help you determine your horse’s specific needs.

We proudly are offering joint appointments with Dr. Kelli Kolar, DVM of South Peak Veterinary Services!
